Day 54- 55

Today I spent the morning rummaging through some of my stuff at my mothers house, and I stumbled across the Beta tapes.... slightly smaller than the VHS tape..... these videos brought a smile to my face as the ones that I found were tapes my mother specially made for us kids.... shows she recorded that she new we loved.... now this is love...

Today I went downtown to photograph my lovely city per the request of a good friend of mine..... here's one shot, I will share more in the coming days..... It was a lovely morning, and I want to go back at dusk to get some more photos....

Day 53

I went for a walk this morning- it was intensely hot at 10am but it sure felt good to move my body... it also gave some time to look around and embrace the beauty around me...

Day 51

After having a really soul searching talk with the love of my life..... sometimes hard as these talks can be they are essential for a truly great relationship.... left me feeling extremely vulnerable... yet more in love than ever.... the next day I walked in and this beauty was sitting on the table...

I think he loves me ......

Day 47-50

Cooked dinner tonight hoping for leftovers, however, it was better to see all my hard work was appreciated  by having no leftovers :) 

UUUUUUUGH!!!

Everywhere I went today I was stuck in traffic...... I was not a happy girl :-/

I was driving home from work today and I see this wood structure.... I had to pull over and and take a photograph.... or five.... here are to of my favorites.

This was will my cool panoramic option!!! love it!!!

Day 41-46 Catch Up

Moon, lovely moon, I took this while in the backseat in a moving car.... proud...

this was just about 30 mins later.... not bad for not having a tri-pod or slow shutter speed setting....


I was at my friend Cheryl's house, visiting with her on her porch and looked down saw this lil guy... eaves dropping on our conversation.....

Getting up at 5am has it's advantages......

and then 3 blocks from my new job this is what other wonderful things 6am brings!

Day 39 & 40

Today I was messing around with my new cell phone and its photo options. And it has this cool negative option. So these are by no means fine art photos, however they made me happy :)

Today I pulled out my cookbooks today, and well found some awesome recipes! So here's to crackin' open a cookbook, a glass of wine, and cookin my little heart out...



Day 38

Today was my 1st day off in a week and so I had a very productive morning, dishes done, 3 loads of laundry done, and all dishes done, and bedroom cleaned! SO to document my day these were the photos I took..

We went for a drive to the store tonight and there was the most beautiful sunset.

Today I went to a little antique store and not only did I fall in love with this charming little store. And these pretty little plates captivated me :) so of course I bought them....

Day 33

Today was the art show. It was a day riddled with nerves and excitement as I prepared to put my art on display. The time finally came, the night was hot, and the streets were filled with excitement for First Friday Art Show!!! I left my camera at home and my cell phone died, so I had no way to photograph anything..... Fortunately, my man had his cell phone so he snapped these 2 photos! What a glorious night! I only sold one piece, but I made new friends and received some of the best compliments ever and so to me the night was priceless!

Day 29 - 32

Catch up day!! So it's been 6 whole days since I have posted a single blog! I have been so totally wrapped up in this art show that I have not had time to blog..... don't worry I have still managed to take over a 100 photos! OK so here we go

Day- 29

So this day I was on my way to Costco to meet my man when I look over at a mall that has been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember and this is what I see....

I couldn't believe my eyes.... they are tearing down this mall that has been around for over 20 years. Now I cant say that I am terrible surprised as I had visited it a few months earlier and it was depressingly void of more then 6 people.... The rides that used to entertain children were silent. It was Erie to say the least. As I watched in dismay, even though it demise was eminent, I looked around and saw all these cars around who had pulled over to watch the dismantling of a once lively mall.

Day- 30

Today I was working in the back room at my retail job and two things struck me. One that this job, even though it only pays 7.36 and hour, I can't help but feel good about myself every day that I go in an do the best that I can as there is something very fulfilling when you do a good job and people let you know that they see what you are doing. And second, working in the back was FUN, yes there were 300 hundred  boxes, but it was fun opening them and seeing all the new stuff , the untainted clothes, as no one has tried them on yet and all the new fall styles, it was like shopping as I worked!

Day-31

Today I had 2 things that made me very very happy! One I had to name all my photos for the show and as hard as that can be it truly is one of my favorite things to do, it is important to give them a name that suits them, just like a baby :)

and then I was at an office supply store, and I found this.......

                                                        And it's a ruler! (gawd I'm such I nerd)

Day 32 -

And finally this day my mother and I hung up the art at the art show..... She's so great at hanging art!! Love her.........

I was extremely tired when we finally got done, however I had a huge sense of accomplishment and pride seeing my photos officially up for display!!!
