Day 82-83

Day 82- So I went by Hobby Lobby today and fell in love with this winsome little decorative red phone booth.  Strongly reminiscent of the actual red phone booths in Europe. Come to think of it, that may be the reason I am so terribly fond of it.

It's new home is my living room. Its that constant reminder that I will get Europe one day.


Day 83- So today I look out my passenger seat window and this was what I saw.....

SO it is a car that has come up over the curb and into the bus stop seating...... it was weird cause it took a minute to realize that this was weird.... I then looked over to see a little old lady in a cop car.... Still cant figure out how she made it up the curb.... fourwheeling with grandma :) (of course she was ok)

Day 80-81

Day 80

Today I went to lunch with Robert and on the way to the restaurant I took a detour through my favorite little neighborhood, looking at some pretty little houses that have such charm and character..... this one I have driven by for years, and it still makes me happy. I think it is the original stain glass windows and well kept yard and two car garage that sucks me in....

Day 81

I have been threatening to stop every time I see this checkered water tower. There is something about water towers that lure me in. This one has so much personality that I couldn't help but to photograph it.....

Day 79

Day 79-

So a few weeks ago I was working and a customer bought the coolest Halloween salad tossers...... I went  to the sales floor to find them and  I'll be damned we had sold out of them (an unfortunate side effect of working in a discount shopping store ugh).. .I obsessed about them for weeks, I went to target and guess what I found.... My Halloween salad tossers :) LOVE

Day 78

Day 78-  Tonight my man took me out for a date night. And after my 1st long island I looked over and was dazzled by some peculiar bar art.....

Okay so maybe I was on my 3rd long island :) I am sober today and still quite impressed with the swirl of napkins.

Day 75 - 77

So this day I was having a rough time at work so on my break I walked over to the sandwich shop and I looked over and saw this beautiful car..... with the best license plate :)

 Day 76 - Today I was walking around  Michaels and I looked up and saw this beautiful arrangement for a wedding display. I photographed it and sent it to my mother..

she text me back that she almost started crying....... and this is why, when she was getting married she told her mother that she wanted Blue and Yellow for her wedding colors, my grandmother on the other hand thought red and white went together much better and would not let her have the bllue and yellow. To this day 35 years later she still get upset knowing that she wasn't able to have her perfect wedding....

Day 77- YA WHOOO today I received MY prints on canvas in the mail! I feel so proud ....

 Day 65

So I was leaving my house this morning and this cute lil puppy came up to me and I couldn't help but pick her up and play with her..... she jumped in my car and I snapped this photo with my cell phone and text my boyfriend with the photo and this question "Can I keep it?" his response...... "Um hell no"

Day 66

So today was a very EYE opening day for me...... For all of you that know me you know I have struggled with my weight since I was 10. In the past 2 years or so I have lost over 70 pounds.  And continue with my weight loss today, however, I still feel like I haven't embraced my new body. Today was a prime example of my "size" denial. So I walked into my favorite clothing store for larger women- TORRID!  The sales lady working there asked me what I was looking for, I told her some jeans. So proceeded to ask me what size I was wearing that day, I said 16, she said "oh my goodness, why are your wearing that size, You are easily a size 12!" I was like you are crazy, I more like a large 14, anyways, she proceeded to get a bunch of size 12's and I picked 14's and I tried on the 14's and I felt comfortable with them, but then I tried on the 12's and was like what the hell... these fit too... The sales lady saw the 12's on me and said "See that is how jeans are supposed to fit, your butt looks great in those, now that we can actually see it!" I laughed and bought the jeans. As I was leaving the lady said "You do know you won't be able to shop here much longer?" My eyes got big and I kind of freaked out, this store had been my comfort for so long that I replied to her "Where am I going to shop now?" She said "You go to all those stores you haven't been able to shop at and you will see that you can now fit in them" With tears in my eyes I smiled and left my fat girl store........

Day 67

We were downtown at the TJMAXX and I looked over and saw this cute owl mug, Robert said you like it? I said of course I do! He picked it up and bought it for me.... He's so sweet to me. It's the little thing right.....

Day 68

So My mother has been making these beautiful little bird baths out of plates she is finding at the goodwill and this just happened to be a hummingbird bath that I turned into a cake dish, it's small so I felt fig newtons would be a perfect lil treat to put in there.....  love this....
                                            

Day 69

 SO dangerous for my bosses to have me working the jewelry department at work (TJMAXX). I fell in love with these earrings and just had  to buy them....I really love working there, so many cool thing to look at....

 Day 70

So I have inherited some old records from my grandfather and grandmother and I was going through them today and I found this wicked cool see through yellow record, I thought photographing it against my red shag carpet would really look cool.... 

 Day 71- 74

More downtown photos, I have just printed some on canvas and I can not wait to see how they turn out....

Day 64

Day 64-

Today was my boyfriends daughters birthday, and we had a lovely dinner and party. I bought these flowers before the party. Growing up I never understood why people bought flowers and used them as center pieces, but now as a grown up I see how they can just lighten up the space, how just seeing them can put a smile on most peoples faces.....

Day 61- 63

This blog should be re-titled ..... weekly photo blog....  anyways I am trying to be more consistent with my posts but then I get crazy busy... however I still manage to photograph my days....

Day 61

Today it was like I has ants in my pants today, I could not sit still.... I finally talked my man into going for a bike ride.... this is the shot I got... I actually really love this shot..

I was out running errands all day today, and I have driving this same route for years now and this is the first time this lake caught my eye.....

Day 63

Today we had a festival downtown and it was a perfect way to start the day I love all the art and food.... oh yes and the jewelry.....

Day 54- 55

Today I spent the morning rummaging through some of my stuff at my mothers house, and I stumbled across the Beta tapes.... slightly smaller than the VHS tape..... these videos brought a smile to my face as the ones that I found were tapes my mother specially made for us kids.... shows she recorded that she new we loved.... now this is love...

Today I went downtown to photograph my lovely city per the request of a good friend of mine..... here's one shot, I will share more in the coming days..... It was a lovely morning, and I want to go back at dusk to get some more photos....

Day 53

I went for a walk this morning- it was intensely hot at 10am but it sure felt good to move my body... it also gave some time to look around and embrace the beauty around me...

After having a really soul searching talk with the love of my life..... sometimes hard as these talks can be they are essential for a truly great relationship.... left me feeling extremely vulnerable... yet more in love than ever.... the next day I walked in and this beauty was sitting on the table...

I think he loves me ......

Day 47-50

Cooked dinner tonight hoping for leftovers, however, it was better to see all my hard work was appreciated  by having no leftovers :) 

UUUUUUUGH!!!

Everywhere I went today I was stuck in traffic...... I was not a happy girl :-/

I was driving home from work today and I see this wood structure.... I had to pull over and and take a photograph.... or five.... here are to of my favorites.

Day 41-46 Catch Up

Moon, lovely moon, I took this while in the backseat in a moving car.... proud...

this was just about 30 mins later.... not bad for not having a tri-pod or slow shutter speed setting....


I was at my friend Cheryl's house, visiting with her on her porch and looked down saw this lil guy... eaves dropping on our conversation.....

Getting up at 5am has it's advantages......

and then 3 blocks from my new job this is what other wonderful things 6am brings!
